Martha Guerrette Weds Elton Eugene Thibodeau

WASHBURN - St. Catherine's Catholic Church was the scene of a wedding ceremony March 27, [1971] when Miss Martha Antoinette Guerrette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Guerette of Washburn, became the bride of Elton Eugene Thibodeau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Thibodeau of Caribou. The Rev. John Audibert, officiated at the nuptial Mass.

The bride wore a gown of chantilly lace with a mantilla. She carried a cascade of yellow roses and baby's breath.

Maid of honor. Miss Helen Guerrette of Washburn, wore a yellow gown with a matching picture hat. She carried a colonial bouquet of Chrysanthemums. Bridesmaids, Miss Alice Guerrette of Washburn and Miss Carla Thibodeau of Caribou wore lavender gowns and hats.

Best man was Lou Randolph of Pennsylvania. Ushers were David Guerrette of Washburn and Larry Thibodeau of Caribou.

Kim Sperrey was flower girl and David Thibodeau was ring bearer.

Organist was Mrs. Marion Tardie of Crouseville. Edmund Tardie of Crouseville served as lector. A reception was held at the church.

The bride a graduate of Washburn High School, is employed as bookkeeper at Maine Potato Growers, Inc. in Presque Isle.

The bridegroom, a graduate of Caribou High School and Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute attends the University of Maine at Presque Isle.

The couple resides at Reach Road, Presque Isle.
