MR. AND MRS. BRYANT H. ROSSIGNOL (Miss Carla Ann Martin) Martin - Rossignol Rites Solemnized At Washburn Washburn -- Miss Carla Ann Martin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Martin of Washburn, became the bride of Bryant H. Rossignol, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rossignol of Woodland, in a double ring candlelight ceremony held April 23 [1971] at the Washburn Pentecostal Church. Rev. David Asel officiated at the service. Mrs. David Asel sang "Each for the Other." Mrs. Kenneth Harris was organist. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white floor length gown of bridal satin with a scalloped lace bodice. Attached was a lace trimmed chapel length train. Her elbow length veil of bridal illusion was attached to a crown of seed pearls. She carried a white Bible with a cascade of red roses. The matron of honor, Mrs. Linda Dunkling, of Barre, Vt. wore a floor length lavender brocaded gown with matching headpiece and carried a long stemmed yellow rose. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Dianne Young, Miss Prudence Nickerson and Miss Ruth Wardwell, all of Washburn. Lori and Cheryl Marr were junior bridesmaids. The attendants all wore gowns and headpieces styled similarly to that of the matron of honor. They were of yellow brocaded taffeta. They carried long stemmed yellow roses. The bride's brother, Steven Marr, was best man. Ushers were Harold Marr of Woodbridge, Conn., brother of the bride; Charles Durost and John Young of Washburn. Alan Marr, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer and Janet Marr, niece of the bride, was flower girl. Mrs. Rossignol is a 1967 graduate of Washburn District High School and is employed in the office of Potato Service Co., Inc., Presque Isle. Mr. Rossignol attended the public schools at Woodland and is employed by A. E. Flewelling & Sons, Crouseville. Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held in the church vestry. Assisting were Judy Marr, Eleanor Marr, Amy Grant, Grace Parker, Roberta Doak. In charge of the gift table were Becky Boulier, Trudy Niles and Anita Sperry. The guest book was circulated by Millie Rossignol. After a wedding trip along the Maine coast the couple will reside on the Tabor Road in Washburn.
