
ACCEPTING FAMILY -- Seven members of the Bragg family and a son-in-law-to-be were on hand Saturday evening at the Maine Public Service Center to accept a plaque making Mr. and Mrs. Alton Bragg honorary members of the Aroostook Valley 4-H Riding Club. Each individual in the picture above, except the baby, has been a member in the club, either until married or too old for the 21 and 19 age limit. There has been a Bragg in the club since its beginning in 1960 until this past year, 1971, for which Lois Bragg received a ten year pin at the meeting. Present to accept the plaque for Mr. and Mrs. Bragg were, seated, left to right, Paul DuMont (son-in-law-to-be), Merle Bragg, Carroll Bragg; standing, Lois Bragg, Phyllis Bragg, Linda (Vaughan) Bragg and Natalia (Howe) Bragg with son, Carroll Jr. Other members of the family who were members of the Club and unable to attend included Mr. Mildred (Bragg) DeMerchant and Waunita Bragg.

MAKE ROOM FOR ONE MORE -- The four "Bragg Boys" have welcomed one more into their midst, as of Nov. 9 [1971]. At the top is Merle Jr., age 5, who entered kindergarten this year. Left to right, front, Ernest, who will be 4 this month, Jonathan, who will be 2 this month, and O'Brien, who will be 3 next month. The recent arrival is Bradd. The parents of the now five "Bragg Boys" are Mr. and Mrs. Merle Bragg Sr. of Washburn. Mrs. Bragg is the former Linda Vaughan of Washburn.
