Barbara Conley, Clyde Sutton Exchange Vows

WASHBURN -- Washburn Pentecostal Church was the setting of a January 29 [1972] wedding ceremony when Barbara Joyce Conley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Conley, Washburn, and Clyde Richard Sutton of Harriman, Tenn., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Sutton of Harriman pledged vows. The Rev. David Asel officiated.

Serving as matron of honor was Miss Sylvia Conley. Bridesmaids were Miss Vera Bragg and Miss Verna Bragg, Washburn, and Miss Peggy Kidney, Mapleton.

Dewey D. Whetstone was best man.

A reception was held at Hotel Caribou.

The couple plan to reside at Presque Isle.

The bride graduated in 1969 from Washburn District High School and is employed by the Converse Rubber Co.

The bridegroom graduated in 1967 from Harriman High School and attended the Tennessee Institute of Electronics. He is serving in the Air Force, stationed at Loring AFB.
