Church decorations were altar baskets of pink and white snapdragons.
Mrs. Sylvia Fox sang "Whither Thou Goest", "More" and "The Wedding Prayer." She was accompanied by Mrs. Emma Dow, organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an empire waist gown of white satin and border lace. Her headpiece consisted of white tulle fastened to a white satin bow. She carried a long stemmed red rose.
Miss Charlotte Fox, maid of honor, chose a gown of bluette taffeta overlaid with daisy lace with an empire waistline. She wore a wide brimmed open crown hat and carried pink, blue and white daisies and mums.
Sharon Humphrey and Donalee Blackstone, bridesmaids, wore gowns similar to the maid of honor's.
Richard Schaefer, brother of the bridegroom, attended his brother. Ushers included Larry Fox and Barry Wright, brother of the bride.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Wright selected a dress of pink bonded lace with pearl trim and pink accessories. Her corsage was of white carnations.
The bridegroom's mother chose a blue matching coat and dress ensemble with bead trim. Her Corsage was also white carnations.
The newly married couple were honored with a reception following the ceremony in the church vestry. Decorations were blue and white with yellow and white flowers.
Mrs. Verdella Fox and Mrs. Ethel Nutting cut the wedding cake; it was served by Miss Lois James, Miss Barbara Maynard and Miss Kim Meister.
Tending the punch bowl was Mrs. Vespa Johnson.
Others serving refreshments included Mrs. Virginia Young, Mrs. Nancy Blackstone, Mrs. Anita Blackstone and Mrs. Joyce Blackstone.
The guest book was circulated by Miss Brenda Anderson.
Officiating at the gift table were Mrs. Eileen Anderson, Mrs. Donna McNeal and Miss Carlene Bondeson.
Out-of-town guests included the bridegroom's parents and brother, all of Monmouth Junction, N.J.; the bride's grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Wright of Dexter; and the bride's aunts, Mrs. Alice Flynn of Dexter and Mrs. Shirley Eastman of Linneus.
The couple will live at South River, N.J.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn District High School and attended Northern Maine Vocational Technical Institute of Presque Isle. She is employed by Holiday Inn of New Jersey.
Schaefer, a graduate of Edison High School, Edison, N.J., has served with the United States Air Force and is employed by Excel Products, New Brunswick, N.J.
