Bragg-Espling Engagement Is Announced

WASHBURN -- Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bragg have announced the engagement of their daughter, Verna Marie, to Darrell D. Espling, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Espling of Caribou.

Miss Bragg is a 1968 graduate of Washburn District High School. She is employed by Aroostook Shoe Company, Presque Isle.

Espling is a 1968 graduate of Caribou High School. He served 31 months in the United States Army and was last employed by Brescia Construction Company, Caribou.

An Aug. 25 [1972] wedding is planned.

Miss Bragg Is Showered By Friends

WASHBURN--Miss Verna Bragg was recently honored at a bridal shower given by Mrs. Sheryl Bragg at her apartment on Main Street. She was assisted by Mrs. Kathy McIntire.

Following the opening of bridal gifts, games was played with refreshments being served during the evening.
