The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Campbell of Washburn; the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wilmot Flewelling of Crouseville.
Mrs. Jack Stoddard, aunt of the groom, was the organist for the double-ring ceremony and accompanied Mrs. Ruthada Campbell, sister-in-law of the bride as she sang "Together" and "We've Only Just Begun."
The bride's gown had a high waist and featured a bodice of chantilly lace with full sheer lace sleeves. The chiffon skirt and train were edged with the same pleated lace ruffling which accented the high collar and wide fitted cuffs. Her shoulder-length veil was gathered by a Juliet headpiece. The bridal bouquet consisted of a cascade of yellow sweetheart roses, white carnations and ivy. The bride was given in marriage by her father; her gown was made by the mother of the bridegroom.
Debbie Campbell, sister of the bride was the maid of honor, wearing a princess gown of dotted swiss with stand-up collar and sheer puffed sleeves and wide self-ruffles around the hem of the skirt. The gown was trimmed with wide white edging. She carried a basket of pastel baby mums and a wide picture hat.
Her four bridesmaids included Karel Langley of Willimantic, Conn., Cathy Crouse of Perham, Lana Flewelling of Crouseville. sister of the bridegroom, and Cheryl Campbell, junior bridesmaid, sister of the bride. Their attire was similar to the maid of honor's except in rainbow colors.
Kim Silver of Perham was the bridegrooms' attendant. Ushers were Vaughn Campbell Jr., brother of the bride, Andrew Pipes of Presque Isle, Richard Knight of Farmington and Bruce Richardson of Washburn, junior usher.
Laurie Levesque, flower girl, wore a gown similar to the other bride's attendants.
Stephen Stoddard was the ring bearer.
The bride's mother selected a lavender polyester crepe dress with three-quarter sleeves and corsage of yellow sweetheart roses with a lavender accent.
For her son's wedding, Mrs. Flewelling chose a mint green polyester knit attire with a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses having a mint green accent.
The Washburn Elementary School cafeteria was the scene of the reception honoring the couple.
Cutting the wedding cake was Mrs. Michael Umphrey, sister of the bridegroom. Lynn and Peggy Campbell, nieces of the bride, served it.
Circulating the guest book for Mr. and Mrs. Flewelling was Mollie McBrearity of Perham.
Andre Campbell and Donna Campbell, sisters-in-law of the bride, Nancy Wilcox and Sharon Corey were in charge of the gift table.
For the couple's honeymoon along the Maine coast, the bride chose a navy and white polyester dress complemented with a corsage of yellow sweetheart roses for her traveling ensemble.
The bride is a graduate of Washburn District High School and attended Berkshire Christian College, She is employed by the Aroostook Convalescent Center, Presque Isle.
Flewelling graduated from WDHS and is a junior at the University of Maine at Orono.
During the summer he is employed on his father's farm.
Out-of-town guests were from Columbus and Willimantic, Conn.; Lenox, Mass.; Elmira, N.Y.; Calais, Scarborough, Farmington, Biddeford, Bridgewater, Presque Isle, Caribou, Mapleton and Ashland.
