The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a peasant style full length gown of satin and lace, with puff sleeves and cuffs at the waist. Her shoulder length veil fell from a daisy trimmed head piece. She carried a bouquet of daisies and carnations with white streamers attached.
Miss Cleta Barker was maid of honor. Her gown was full length peasant style of lavender and purple with a matching bouquet.
Miss Gloria Newbegin and Miss Carol Tarbox were bridesmaids. Their gowns were empire style. Miss Newbegin wearing a mint green and Miss Tarbox a yellow. Each carried bouquets to match their gowns.
Flower girls were Eva Rae Barker, who wore a full length blue dotted swiss gown and Corrina Stairs, who wore a pink dotted swiss full length gown. They each carried white baskets of flowers. Trent Turner was ring bearer.
William Nichols was best man. Ushers were Robert Barker and Samuel Jordan.
For her daughter's wedding, the bride's mother wore a full length blue and white with silver mixture gown, complemented with a white orchid corsage with a wedding color bow.
The groom's mother wore a green street length gown and a white carnation corsage.
A reception was held at the Mapleton Hall, Mapleton, after the wedding. The guest book was circulated by Lori Lee Starr. Mrs. Camille Nichols and Diane Nichols were in charge of the gift table.
Mr. and Mrs. Graydon Buckingham, Mrs. Nettie Tozier and Mrs. Hadley Flanagin were in charge of the refreshment table.
Mr. and Mrs. Nichols are in the Senior Class at Washburn District High School. They will live in Washburn.
