
Rev. David E. Asel officiated at the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Mryna McGaffin sang "I'll Walk Beside You" and "The Wedding Prayer." She was accompanied by Roger Jardine, organist.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an all alencon lace over taffeta gown with ruffle at the high neckline, satin cumberbund at the natural waistline and A-Line skirt with bustle. Her chapel train was of satin and steamers. She complemented her gown with a hat of white natural straw and carried orchid poms and white roses.
She was attended by Mrs. Maryna McGaffin of Presque Isle, who wore an orchid gown with semi-rise waist and A-line skirt of karate. Her full sleeves were caught at the wrists with ruffle edged-in beige embroidery. The V-shaped bodice featured an insert of multicolored lace and a white streamer fell from her picture hat.
Bridesmaids, Miss Faith Parker of Woodland, Miss Mary Bonner of East Hartford, Conn., Denise Lamur of East Hartford, Miss Carlene Bondeson of Perham, Miss Holly Maynard of Washburn wore gowns similar to that of the matron of honor. They wore picture hats with orchid ribbons. The attendants carried long stemmed white roses.
Ellsworth Woodman of Crouseville attended the bridegroom. Ushers were Donald Jr., Russell, Michael, Fred and Wesley Maynard, all brothers of the bride.
A reception followed at the Mapleton Community Hall.
The daughter of Donald and Anna Maynard of Washburn, the bride is a graduate of Washburn District High School and attended the University of Maine, Presque Isle. She is a data processor.
The bridegroom is the son of Herman and Mary Walker, also of Washburn. A graduate of Washburn District High School, he is employed as an accountant.
The couple will reside in Organge, Conn.
