Miss Maynard is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Maynard. Blackstone is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hartson Blackstone Jr. The Rev. Reed Blackstone and the Rev. Howard Roberts performed the double ring evening ceremony before an altar decorated with gladiolus, white and pink roses and pink carnations. Mrs. Sylvia Fox sang "The Wedding Prayer," "Whither Thou Goest" and "Each For the Other" while Mrs. Emma Dow accompanied her on the organ.
The bride wore a taffeta gown overlaid with organza and decorated with reembroidered lace and seed pearls on the empire waist, front panels, neckline and full train. The sleeves were of sheer organza with fitted, buttoned cuffs. The bride also wore a veil attached to a fitted cap made of lace petals and trimmed with seed pearls. She carried a bride's Bible and six pink roses.
Mrs. Barbara Leach of Easton was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Carol Ann Blackstone of Washburn, sister of the groom, Cindy Irving of Woodland and Lorrie Maynard of Washburn, sister of the bride.
Each wore a gown of princess-style gown with ruffle at neckline and hem, puffed sleeves and matching robins egg blue ribbon. Each carried long stem roses.
Barry Blackstone of Perham was best man. Ushers were Joe McNulty of Virginia, Eugene Brown of Washburn and Rodney Leaeh of Easton.
Teddy Maynard was ring bearer. Neisha Dudley, the flower girl, wore a dress similar to those worn by the bride's attendants and carried a basket of flowers.
The couple greeted guests at a receplion at the First Baptist Church of Perham. Darlene James attended the guest book, Sharon Harris and Janice King were in charge of the gift table, Mrs. Walter Hutengs of Plainvillc, Conn., aunt of the bride, cut the cake and Carlene Bonderson and Lois James served the cake.
The couple took a wedding trip to Grand Falls, N.B., then went to Taylors, S.C., where they will live.
The new Mrs. Blackstone graduated from Washburn District High School and from Bob Jones University, Greenville, S.C., where she is a secretary at the administrative office.
Blackstone also is a graduate of Washburn District High School and is a senior ministerial student at Bob Jones University. He also is employed by the university.
