Miss Sally Dickinson Weds William Sargent Bouquets of yellow, blue and white carnations decorated the alter of the Dunntown Advent Christian Church for the June 26 [1973] wedding of Miss Sally Dickinson and William Sargent. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clifton G. Dickinson of Perham. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Anderson of Wade. The Rev. Read Blackstone performed the evening ceremony. "Love Story" and "Each For The Other" were sung by Mrs. Pauline Helestrom, accompanied by Mrs. Ruth Silver, pianist. The bride, given in marriage by her father, Clifton Dickinson, wore a full-length gown of sheer nylon organza. Embroidered lace accented the empire-waist collar, sleeves and train. Her veil was elbow length. Mrs. Linda Dickinson, sister-in-law of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a yellow gown accented with white, a white hat with yellow ribbon and carried a single yellow carnation. Bridesmaid was Miss Joann Dickinson sister of the bride of Perham. She wore an aqua blue gown accented with white, white picture hat with aqua ribbon and carried a single blue carnation. The bride's mother wore an aqua floor-length gown of polyester crepe-stitch knit complemented by a corsage of pink carnations. The bridegroom's mother wore a floor length orange gown of polyester double knit with a white carnation corsage. Laura Dickinson, niece of the bride, was flower girl. She wore yellow dress and carried a basket of colored carnations. David Sargent, brother of the bridegroom; was ring bearer. Paul Ireland of Washburn was best man. Usher was Jim Sargent, brother of the bridegroom, of Wade. A reception was held at the American Legion Hall. Mrs. Rhonda Ireland, Mrs. Lois Goodine and Miss Dolly Hartsgrove were in charge of the gift table while Jean Sargent circulated the guest book. Mrs. Marie Malm, Mrs. Geraldine Conroy, Mrs. Milford Dickinson, Mrs. Celia Stetson and Mrs. Avis Harris served the cake. Mrs. Frances Dickinson, mother of the bride, made the cake and Mrs. Betty Dickinson cut it. Out of town guests were from Portland, Boston, Mass., Florida and Utah. The bride's travel attire was a pantsuit of navy blue slacks and white and navy top. The bride is a 1971 graduate of Washburn High School and is presently employed by Converse Rubber Co. in Presque Isle. The bridegroom is a 1971 graduate of Washburn High School, a 1973 graduate of NMVTI and is presently employed by Brescia Construction Co. in Caribou. After a wedding trip to New Hampshire, the couple will reside in Wade.
