Barbara McInnis, Now Mrs. Gary Howard

Barbera Ann McInnis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph F. McInnis of Bangor, and Cary George Howard, son of Mrs. George Howard and the late George P. Howard of Washburn, were married Aug. 4 [1973] at the Folsom Camp on Lower Wilson Pond in Greenville.

The Rev. Ronald W. Walden performed the outdoor ceremony, which was planned by the bride and groom.

The bride was attended by Mrs. Sandra Sanfacon of Plum Island, Mass. as matron of honor. Richard Flewelling of Crouseville, was best man.

Mrs. Howard graduated from Bangor High School and the University of Maine at Orono with a B A, degree in sociology.

The groom is a graduate of Washburn District High School and the University of Maine at Orono with a B. S. in animal and veterinary sciences.

A reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Howard was held Friday evening, Aug. 24 at the Washburn Grade School cafeteria.

Mr. and Mrs. Guy Turner were at the door to greet the guests. The guest book was in charge of Miss Kathleen Doody. Mrs. Keith Umphrey, Miss Sharon Humphrey and Miss Connie Sperry were in charge of the gift table.

Refreshments were served by Mrs. Danny Corey and Mrs. Richard Soucier of Washburn and Mrs. Rodney Leach of Easton, Miss Lorinda Plissey of Washburn served punch.

Approximately 125 guests attended. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph McInnis and Danny McInnis of Bangor, and the Rev. and Mrs. David McGee and infant daughter of Van Buren.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard will reside at their farm home on the Washburn-Caribou Road.
