Background: Christine Mallory was born Elizabeth Christine Malloy on May 24, 1985, to Andrew and Cassandra Malloy of Portland, OR. Unfortunately, young Elizabeth/Christie never knew her mother, as Cassandra had died in childbirth. Her father seemed to place blame for this on Christie, and was abusive from the time she was 7 until she Awakened and ran away at age 15. She hasn't seen or had any contact with her biological father since then, of course this is after Awakening and shoving a fireball into his chest to escape, telling him not to try to find her or else she'd kill him just before she left. She eventually reached the shop of a (read "a" as "the only") mage in Portland, Saelic Maelikian. She began working at his shop and, after he discovered that she had recently Awakened, he took her on as his apprentice. She now sees him as a "real" father and has admitted as such, although not to her cabal (they'd probably stone her or just call her crazy if she admitted as much...they don't really seem to like him or her familiar). After seeing the Archmage who proclaims himself "Lord of the Necropolis" and her own tradition's sort of almost arrogant stance that sets them back from working with the other traditions to better reality/humanity, she's now taking it upon herself to try to achieve membership within the Hermetic Council, reasoning that perhaps she can change the system from within. |
Appearance: Christie is slightly taller than average (5'7") and pretty thin (125 lbs). Her naturally bright red hair is slightly wavy (not incredibly fluffy) and sits at about her shoulderblades. This is usually pulled back in a french braid or just left down, never in a ponytail. The bright red hair emphasizes the large emerald eyes in a slightly freckled face. She's fairly pale, the kind of skin tone that makes you think that if she tried to tan she'd either just burn or crisp. Her dress style looks most like the stereotypical "skater" style; baggy jeans, tank tops, and Vans sneakers; of course this is off stage. On stage, her outfit looks something like what you might see on the ice skating events of the Winter Olympics; what looks like a halter-topped yellow leotard with a skirt of feather-shaped red and orange tissue-thin fabric that complements the feathers placed into her hair. One thing that remains consistent within her wardrobe is that her back is always covered. There are only 3 people who know why: Saelic, Takeshi, and Circe. In the way of jewelry, it's merely a garnet necklace, a simple gold band, and an emerald and sapphire ring. She doesn't really care about what people think of how she looks, unless she's dressing to impress. |
Personality: Christie learned the value of being underestimated very early on, and tries to use that to her advantage while not applying underestimation to whatever she may come up against. She's a "student of life", as she likes to think of it, and enjoys learning what she can about the world around her, other supernaturals/Traditions, and just anything in general that she doesn't know about. She's still getting used to being with and co-operating with the rest of her fairly large cabal, as she's just used to doing things by herself or just her and Circe or Saelic. She's very social, but to the annoyance of many, she does believe that information, like anything, has its price. But...it just doesn't seem like anyone listens to her when she has something to say. |
