Tenchi manga (from Japan) and Tenchi comics (from the United States) have been published since 19??.

Elements of the early Manga conflict with the second OAV, as the manga began with the end of the first OAV. Elements later in the manga conflict with the TTM novels. The manga never mentions Zero fusing with Ryoko, but neither does the OAV (or any of the other canons, for that matter), mention Yakage, a student of Washu's who appears in the manga, or Minagi, a clone of Ryoko's that Yakage created.
