alter Reinhardt was a German highway robber in the 1700's. It was there during a mugging that he first encountered Duncan MacLeod, outside of Dover, England around 1728. In present day, 1980's, Reinhardt was a ruthless businessman on Wall Street. He was indicted on swindling money from people and was to be arrested until he faked his death after another confrontation with Duncan MacLeod in 1989, after a New Year's party. Thinking he was dead, Reinhardt's fiance at the time, Rebecca Lord, sought out MacLeod and managed to track him down to his antique shop in 1992. Posing as a sword lover, she lured MacLeod into a dual with her in hopes of avenging Walter's alleged murder. But MacLeod eventually made her see Reinhardt's evil intentions to use her as a pawn in his game. When Walter showed up at the Antique shop alive, Duncan's words set in to Rebecca and she tried to kill him herself, but it was Duncan who ended his devious ways, forever.
