BACKGROUND

S lan was born in America in 1787. He joined duty on a ship during the War of 1812. It was while on this ship that Slan died and became an Immortal. After his ship docked, he was picked up by Patrick Stanze and taught about his Immortality. For most of his life, Slan worked as a blacksmith and became well knowledged in the skill of sword making. It was with this skill that he made his very odd and affective sword, hiding a projectile that could be fired from the bottom of the sword. He was also a ruthless Immortal. His tactic was to ruin the lives of other Immortals so that they had nothing to live for. At one point in time, we are not for sure, he may have employed this tactic on Connor MacLeod, because Slan was continuously hunted by him. Slan was finally caught by Connor, when he showed up at an antique shop owned by Duncan MacLeod, Connor's clansman and student. When Slan challenged Duncan, Connor stepped in and challenged Slan. But the police showed up and Slan escaped. He soon devised a plan to draw Duncan in. He threatened Tessa, and finally drew the wrath of Duncan. But before Duncan could get to Slan, Connor stopped him and confronted Slan on a bridge in town. Slan and Connor fought, but Slan deviously and under handedly shot the projectile at Connor's chest, causing him to fall back off of the bridge into the icy waters below. But before Slan had a chance to recuperate, he was confronted by Duncan. Despite his having been out of the "Game" for awhile, Duncan overwhelmed Slan and beheaded him, drawing himself back into the "Game"
