Once in 1977 a man was driving past Resurrection cemetery and noticed a young woman was inside the gates peering out as if to be locked in. rather than check things out hiself, he called the police and told them a woman was locked in the cemetery so they came to let her out and there was noone to be found. But durring the investigation they did find that two of the bars of the main gate where the man had seen her had been burnt and bent outward and bore the imprints of human fingerprints. |

Officials quickly removed the bars, but later reinstalled them using a blow torch to put them back into place. The burn marks can still be seen to this day. This is the most physical evidence anyone has ever seen from the ghost known as "Resurrection Mary" Chicago's most famous ghost. |

Who is Mary really and why did she bend the bars? Is she upset that she never made it home that fateful night or is it another story completely. Noone will ever know what she wants really I guess she'll remain a legend forever. |
