Tommy finds a shop runned by a Datamon and he helps him beat a game. Datamon then opens a safe which has the D-tectors in them. Tommy tries to get Datamon to return them but he won't and tells Tommy that if he finds something to trade for them, then he can have them. Tommy leaves the fair and heads out into the snow where he finds two Toucanmon, he chases tem and they fall down a hole and toss a camera. The camera records as Tommy helps them out of the hole and they take the camera and leave him behind. Takuya and Koji find JP and Zoe in an eating contest and leave them there. Bokomon and Neemon find Takuya and Koji and tell them that Tommy left the fair. Mean while, Arbormon busts into datamon's shop and gives him the camera the Toucanmon had. He watches the footage of Tommy saving them Toucanmon and tells Arbormon that he can't have the D-tectors. Takuya and Koji find Tommy and they head back to Datamon's shop but it has been destroyed by Arbormon. Datamon gives Tommy his D-Tector back and tells him that he added something to it for beating the game. It's Tommy's new Spirit so he Spirit Evolves but loses control. Datamon hands Takuya and Koji back their D-Tectors and they help Tommy with Arbormon. Arbormon gets beat and slides away into the snow. Ophanimon contacts the kids and tells them that they can stop now if they want to. They say they don't want to quit so she tells them to head towards Rose Morning Star. Bokomon points out where it is and Takuya complains about having to walk that far. Zoe pulls out some Trailmon tickets that she won at the food eating contest, so the kids get on the Trailmon and head for Rose Morning Star.
