Matt urdok was blinded by radioactive waste as a kid and now he's a lawyer by day and a blind crime fighter at night. When Kingpin, a big drug lord, sends a man to kill the woman he loves, Matt turns into DareDevil and fights for her. Atleast I think that's the plot. I mean seriously, a lot has been changed from the comics. There is no character development. and worst of all, the plot you do get is paper thin.
Be Afleck can't act and it's obvious in this movie. Jannifer Garner gives an okay performance but the script holds her back. Collin Ferril steals the movie with the few scenes that he has as Bullseye.
The script is pretty bad. Matt makes a promise to his dad as a kid but 10 minutes later in the movie he breaks it. The lines are lame and I couldn't believe these actors agreed to speak them. The directing is horrible. First of all, a fair ammount of the action takes place using CGI which is fine but it's painfully obvious that it's CGI and it just doesn't work. Second of all, the movie started with a fight, goes into a flashback of Matt's life and then continues as a flashback to when he just got into that fight. This ruins a number of things in the movie and it just seems tacky.
I thought Daredevil would be cool but I never thought 'cool' when I watched the movie. Sure the fight near the end is sorta cool but most of the fights are lame. Grinding a rail with a human body? Now that is pushing it too far.
