Anime Forum Games Links Movies Music Profiles Survivor TV Shows When a 17 year old girl is killed in a small Alaskan town. Two detectives are sent there to help the investigation. One of them makes a mistake and the person who killed the girl sees it all and blackmails the cop. The story isn't great by any means but it is entertaining and the whole insomnia thing mixes things up but it also makes the movie a little unbelievable near the end. Al Pacino, Robbin Williams and Hilary Swank star. Al Pacino doesn't seem into his role and comes off a little uninteresting. Hillary Swank and Robbin Williams are very good in their roles. The other actors range from decent to crappy but they aren't in the movie much. The writing isn't too bad and there are some interesting plot twists. The directing is good and I liked how the director handles the effects of insomnia. The trailer for the movie pretty much gives the whole thing away. Of course there are still a few suprises in the movie but not many. With an almost solid cast and an interesting story, Insomnia is an enjoyable thriller. Reviewer: Americanpieflute Score: B-
