Two years later the gang is reunited by the owner of an amusment park which seems to be brain washing college kids. It's almost a classic Scooby-Doo episode! The story isn't original but why change a formula that has worked for so many years? There are some great plot twists and I loved it when you find out who the bad guy is, it's a total suprise! While the actors don't look the part they do act like the characters for the most part. Freddie Prinze Jr. was the best choice to play Fred cause who better to play a guy who is in love with himself than a guy who is in love with himself? Sarah Michelle Gellar is probably the worst casting choice, she looks nothing like Daphne and the character is all wrong but I blame the script for that. Matthew Lillard kinda looks like Shaggy and he has the voice just right. Linda Cardellini looks just like Velma but in real life she looks a lot dfferent. She is perfect in the role, getting the character just right. The writting isn't great but really you don't got much to work with with a movie based on a cartoon that stars a talking dog. Some of the lines are really funny but maybe a little too mature for the target age group. The directing is good and the sets look amazing. Sadly the CGI could have been so much better and it's sad that Scooby doesn't look right. I wasn't expecting much when I bought the DVD but I was suprised by this movie. I for one grew up with the cartoon and it's clear this movie was made for the fans that have grown up but also it's fun for the kids. There are some dirty jokes but they are really funny and there are even some hints to why Shaggy and Scooby eat so much which older viewers may pick up on if they were around when the cartoon first came out. This isn't a serious a movie and if you just lay back and have fun you just might enjoy it. Reviewer: Americanpieflute Score: C
