Anime Forum Games Links Movies Music Profiles Survivor TV Shows Fans of the comic book have waited a long time for this movie and I can honestly say it was worth the wait. Spider-Man is the story of a boy, named Peter Parker, who gets biten by a mutated spider. He then gains a couple different powers and sets out to stop crime when someone close to him dies. It's your basic super hero plot and there really isn't anything special about it. Fans of the comic book might be a little upset over some changes to the story but it isn't changed too much. The acting is great except the guy who plays JJ seems way over the top and I found him annoying but I guess that is how the character should be. I wasn't expecting much when Tobey Maguire was cast as Peter Parker but he is great as him. The beautiful and charming Kirsten Dunst does a great job as Mary Jane and I really can't see anyone else playing her. Look for cameos of Stan Lee and Bruce Campbell. Sam Raimi does an excellent job with the directing. The camera movements during battles and web slinging look great. This is also helped by the CGI, which is some of the best I've ever seen. This movie is great for people of all ages. The battles are great and are very entertaining. The acting is solid and since the movie is fairly close to the comics, fans will probably see it a few times. Score: A+ Reviewer: Americanpieflute
