Revelation 1:2
"WHO BARE RECORD OF THE WORD OF GOD, AND OF THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST, AND OF ALL THINGS THAT HE SAW."

As you can see John is called a servant, because he worked for God and Jesus. What he did was tell what God had said and what Jesus had said, he told everything that he had seen.

If you look at the verse God is telling you something very important. Three things are said here; John heard from The Father and Jesus, and not only that he saw everything with his eyes.

Revelation 1:3
" BLESSED IS HE THAT READETH,
AND THEY THAT HEAR THE WORDS OF THIS PROPHECY,
AND KEEP THOSE THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN THEREIN:"

This says you have to do three things to be happy during the time of the prophecy taking place. The prophecy in the book of Revelation is given, so that we will have peace of mind. If you don't know what will happen, your flesh can make you think all kinds of crazy things.

Usually you will think the worst thing possible. What God is saying here is, if you do all three things, then you will be happy or blessed, the greek word means both.

What three things do you have to do? The first part is reading the book of Revelations. If you don't read the book(like some people are told not to do by their church leaders), than you can not have peace of mind during that time the prophecies are taking place. The bottom line is you must read the book of Revelations.

The next thing you have to do is to be able to hear with understanding, (there are many people who read and have read the book of Revelations, but say it doesn't make any sense. I know I have personally felt that way, and I have talked to people who have said the same thing to me).

Not everyone can hear with understanding. The Holy Spirit has to open your spiritual eyes to what is being said.

That is why Jesus made the statement many times; He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith, you can read that seven times in the book of Revelations chapter 2:7,11,17,29; chapter 3:6,13,22. He also said it seven times when he was walking the earth teaching; Matthew 11:15; 13:9; Mark 2:9; 4:23; 17:6 ; Luke 8:8; 14:35.

Now we know, that not only do we have to read the book of Revelation, but we have to be able to spiritually understand what we have read.

The third thing we have to do is hold onto the things that you have read and understood, because the time is near for it to take place. If you read the book understand and do not follow it, then what good has it done you?

All three things are needed to get through the "tribulation or pressure", that will happen during that time.

Remember put your trust in the Lord not in man as it is written. Check out the scriptures that I give you and the Lord will bless you for your effort.
