Subj: Revelation 11:13-17 Date: 98-04-19 07:42:07 EDT From: SERVFATHERRevelation 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
This is when the Lord appears, there will be a great shaking up of the world system. Because the World will realize in an instant that they were wrong. They will be afraid to face the Lord. This great shaking is also mentioned as the seventh vial and the sixth seal. Right now we are studying the seventh trump. This shaking of the earth that is mentioned in all three lets us know they are all talking about the same time, the Lord has given us three different ways to look at the same events. The seals the trumps and the vials are all the same thing. It is not the seals first then the trumps then the vials. Don't let anyone fool you. The seals is what we should know, the trumps is what will happen and the vials is what the Lord will be doing. Rev 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Rev 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. 19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; 13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. 14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 15 And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; 16 And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: 17 For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand? Rev 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, (At the seventh trump everyone will know about God, he will not be a mystery anymore.) The reason everyone everyone will know is because The Lord will be here at that time and everyone will be out of their flesh bodies and in their spiritual bodies. And no one will have to tell you who The Lord is, because everyone will know, as it is written; Matt 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. (Jesus is saying, if anyone has to tell you that Christ is on earth, then he is not here, and don't believe them.) 24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Matt 24:26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. (It is repeated again, if anyone has to tell you, then Jesus has not returned) Mark 13:21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not: (It is also repeated in Mark) 22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect. 23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things. (Jesus told us everything we need to know) 24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, (as you can see there is a tribulation (testing) before Jesus returns.) 25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken. (But when Jesus returns everything will be shaken up (earthquake). 26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. (Then Jesus will return and everyone will see him, and they will know who he is as it is written; Rev 1:7 Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.) What will Jesus do when he appears? He will gather his church as it is written; Mark 13:27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven. Jesus again mentions, in Luke, if someone has to tell you he has returned, then you are not to believe them. Luke 17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. 23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. 24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day. 25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.(The true christians will be rejected by the people of the world who are alive when Satan is on earth.) Revelation 10:7"... as he hath declared to his servants the prophets." Isa 29:5 Moreover the multitude of thy strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passeth away: yea, it shall be at an instant suddenly. (The Lord says it will happen in an instant, and it is also written in 1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (We are told not everyone will die, but everyone will be changed (into spiritual bodies) How long will this take and when will this happen? The Answer is in the Word as it is written; 1 Cor 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye (in an instant), at the last trump (at the seventh trump): for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (these flesh bodies will be gone and we shall have our spiritual bodies and we will be able to use 100% of our minds, so at that instant we will know who the Lord is and what we did on this earth in the flesh, and some of us will be greatly ashamed and fearful.)
Isa 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire. As we continue to read in the prophet Isaiah it tells us at the time the Lord will be angry and those on earth that didn't read his word and followed Satan will be afraid and won't be able to face him, because they will be ashamed. Because all the lies that satan told will be consumed and destroyed by the truth as it is written; II Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, All the things we have been studying will happen at the seventh trump, now let us go back to the sixth trump.
Revelation 11:14 The second woe is past; and, behold, the third woe cometh quickly.
Now we are back in the book of Revelation and the Sixth trumpet is over and sounded. The third woe(watch out), is going to happen.
Revelation 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
As you can see at the seventh trump the Lord will set up his kingdom on earth. And the world system will be moved out and destroyed.
Revelation 11:16 And the four and twenty elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshipped God,
When this future event is mentioned to John, those that are in heaven at the time, are very joyful and are thanking God that it will be finally over.
Revelation 11:17 Saying, We give thee thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which art, and wast, and art to come; because thou hast taken to thee thy great power, and hast reigned.
Everyone in heaven is looking forward to the Lord's kingdom taking over on earth. Every christian is also, that is what Jesus told us to pray in the Our Fatheras it is written; Luke 11:2 And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so in earth. Matt 6:10 Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Did you know that is what we are to be looking forward to?
