Subj: Revelation 12:6 Date: 98-06-07 08:00:53 EDT From: SERVFATHERRevelation 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God,
This is talking about the earth, God's children are on the earth, but he has prepared it so that they will have what they need during their time here. God has given us an example of this, in the book of Exodus. Exodus tells us about when the children left egypt, which is where they were in bondage, and brought them into the wilderness where he took care of them. If you read that journey into the wilderness, you will see what we are given today and also how we complain and have little faith or remember the power of the Lord. Do you think the Lord would bring his children to a place where they would have nothing and would die? It was a test for them as it is a test for us today. As it is written in the Corinthians, everything happened to them, for an example to us of what not to do. 1 Cor 10:5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. 6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. We are in the wilderness today, we have been from the time of Jesus death and resurrection. Jesus went back to the Father, and the church went into the wilderness, away from the bondage of sin, which the Lord redeemed us from. We are no longer in bondage to sin, if we are christians and we are following the Word of God, as it is written in Hebrew. Heb 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice, 8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: 9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. 10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. 11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.) 12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. 13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; (The Lord is telling us, we will have forgiveness of sin, if we keep our faith all the way to the end, if we loose our faith in the Lord, we will not have forgiveness for our sins. The Lord wants us to trust him, if we do not then we are not true christians. Then you will not end up in the promised land where we will rest.) Exod 13:18 But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt. (The Lord took them out of bondage and brought them into the wilderness.)
Exod 14:11 And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt? (They said why did you take us out of bondage, weren't we going to die there, why take us away to kill us? Can you believe it? They saw all the miracles and still they questioned.)
Exod 15:22 So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water. (Three days after the Lord had parted the Red sea the children had their first complaint. They did not have water.)
Exod 16:1 And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. 2 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: 3 And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. (They were longing to go back into bondage, where they had the food they wanted to eat. The said it was ok if the Lord wanted to kill them there.)
Exod 16:14 And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. (The Lord gave them angels food to eat.)
Exod 17:1 And all the congregation of the children of Israel journeyed from the wilderness of Sin, after their journeys, according to the commandment of the LORD, and pitched in Rephidim: and there was no water for the people to drink. (Then they did not have water again, they did not trust in the Lord.)
That is the same thing that is happening today with the children of God, the church. The Lord gave them the living water, which is Jesus, and they still complain about flesh things and do not trust in the Lord. We are in the wilderness today, and the Father will provide for us. But the church is to caught up in what they do not have, they are complaining. What the Lord gave them was the ability to have eternal life, because Jesus redeemed us from the bondage. That is what we should be concerned with and thinking about. Not what we are doing in this flesh or what we need to do in the world. What did Moses do during this time? He just accepted things the way the Lord wanted them, he did not question the Lord about flesh things. That is what we are to do. The Lord will provide for us, he knows what we need. Do your best in this wilderness that we are passing through and he will take care of you. Do you know what happened to those people that were in the wilderness for forty years and being taken care of by the Father? Well they still did not trust him and the Father let them worship the angels, he was done with them as it is written; Acts 7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Do you know what the host of heaven is? Well it is written in the Word. The Father answers all questions we have, if you trust in him. 2 King 22:19 And he said, Hear thou therefore the word of the LORD: I saw the LORD sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing by him on his right hand and on his left. (The host of heaven is the children of God or the angels which ever you want to call them. We have already learned in past studies that there are bad angels, these are the angels we are talking about. That the people will worship. The good angels would not let the people worship them.) And again for a second witness;2 Chr 18:18 Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left. In Deuteronmy we are told what to do and what will happen if we do not do what the Lord has commanded us to do. The Lord says if you do not follow him, you will worship Satan and his angels. Deut 4:19 And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven. Deut 17:3 And hath gone and served other gods, and worshipped them, either the sun, or moon, or any of the host of heaven, which I have not commanded; 2 Ki 17:16 And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal. (Ask yourself a question. Do you think these people thought what they were doing was against God? Do you think they said to themselves, "I know what God wants, but I am going to do it this way and worship Satan"? Of course they did not, they were being very "religious". Did you know that is going to happen when Satan and all his host gets here? Do you know what the Lord will do to them? It is not pretty, The Lord speaks plain, as it is written; Jer 8:2 And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth. (They will be considered nothing but manure, to put it mildly, for tender ears) Jer 9:22 Speak, Thus saith the LORD, Even the carcases of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the handful after the harvestman, and none shall gather them. (That is what will happen to those that have followed Satan.) Jer 16:4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. (This is the seals, vials, and trumpets in Revelation) 5 For thus saith the LORD, Enter not into the house of mourning, neither go to lament nor bemoan them: for I have taken away my peace from this people, saith the LORD, even lovingkindness and mercies. (Then the Lord says do not feel sorry for them or even mourn for them.) Jer 25:32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. 33 And the slain of the LORD shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. (There will be alot of people that will be spiritually dead, Satan will have convinced everyone in the world at that time, except for the servants of God.) God will not think very highly of those people as you have read. Now let us read in Revelation where it says they will worship devils. Rev 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: 21 Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts. (This verse tells you that some people will not want to stop sinning to worship devils.) Rev 18:10 Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come. 11 And the merchants of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more: (When babylon falls people will be upset, because they lost a "good" thing.) 12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble, 13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men. Just remember Jesus endured everything that we have to endure in the flesh, God will allow us to be tested by the Devil, so Jesus was tested by the devil, as it is written; Matt 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. 4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. And again it is written; Luke 4:1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, 2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. 3 And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. As you can see Jesus was tested by the devil at a very weak point for the flesh, and the devil tempted him with flesh things, but Jesus overcame the test by the Word of God. That is exactly what we will have to do, while Satan is here. Stay focused on the Word of God and what is written. Do not fail the test, if you have eyes to see and ears to hear. In His Service
