Revelation 14:3

And they sung as it were a new song before the throne, and before the four beasts, and the elders: and no man could learn that song but the hundred and forty and four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth.

When Jesus returns there will be a certain number of people who will have overcome Satan this time. They did not overcome him in the world that was. These people will be the only ones able to sing a special song at that time.These people are the ones that were purchased from the earth, by the Lamb


The words "one hundred forty and four" are not in the greek. What is in the greek is
three letters. The first greek letter is "Rho" which is an "r". The second greek letter is "Mu" which is an "m". The third greek letter is "Delta" which is a "d". Why they
translated it into numbers is because the word "rdm" is not a greek word. So the next possible thing it could stand for is numbers. The greeks used letters for numbers, just as you do in hebrew. "Rho" is 100. "Mu" is 40. "Delta" is 4. So you have 144 if you put it together. But if you keep the numbers seperate they have a great meaning in biblical numerics.

One hundred is "God's election of grace"

forty is "testing, trials, probation"

four is "world"

So if you put all these meanings together you have "God's election of grace going through testing in the world"
Just a thought for everyone to think about.

Revelation 14:4

These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.

These people are the ones that follow the Lamb wherever he goes, they do what Jesus told them to do. These are the ones that did not "marry" Satan, and do his work. These are the people that followed Jesus in the flesh, so they are considered first fruits from the earth.

You have to remember what Paul said in 2 Cor 11:2-3
2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
The ones that are redeemmed from this earth age are waiting to get "married" and they must be a "virgin" spiritually. If a person falls for Satan's lies and does his work, then they have committed "adultery or fornication" spiritually. They are no longer spiritual virgins waiting for their husband. They have been corrupted. They are no longer worthy to "marry" the Lord.

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
There is another thing that Paul says here which is very interesting. Paul is afraid for the ones that he is teaching, he is afraid that they will "lose their virginity" like Eve did through Satan.

Revelation 14:5

And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God.

These people did not speak Satan's lies on earth, so God considers them without spot, which means they kept the Word.

The next thing that is shown to us is what will happen to the rest of the people on earth that did follow Satan.

Revelation 14:6
And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

Then John saw an angel and he had the Word of God and it was for the rest of the world to learn. Everyone that will be on the earth, it will not matter what nationality or what family or what language you speak everyone will be taught the Word of God.

That is what Revelation 20:4-7 says as it is written.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

What do you think Jesus and the others on earth are going to be doing during the thousand years? They are going to be teaching everyone in the world that never had a chance. Thank God for his mercy!!
Think about it. Have you ever wondered what happens to the people that never heard about Jesus, and lived and died on this earth? Do you think that Our Father is a mean and unfair God? God forbid! There are people alive today who have never heard of Jesus, never mind 2000 years ago, after Jesus rose from the dead. You know the Word tells us, there is only one way into eternity with the Lord and that is through Jesus.

Rom 6:23
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I Jn 2:23
23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The rest of the people on earth will be spiritually dead, they will have followed Satan and they can not get into the "kingdom of heaven" until after the thousand years.

That is why there is a first and second resurrection. The first reserrection is through faith, the second is through works. Ask yourself a question "How can you have faith, if you can see Jesus?" You can not, so once Jesus returns to earth everyone will see him, so it is no longer faith that gets you into the kingdom. Why do you think Satan will be let out of the pit after the thousand years? To test the people who have been taught through the thousand years.

Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The ones that take part of the first resurrection and are not spiritually dead, will not have to worry about the second death. The ones that are learning through the thousand years, they will have to worry about the second death. Did you know there was a second death? The first death is the death of the flesh body, but what is the second death? The second death is thedeath of the soul. Did you know it is written in the Word of God? Everything is written in the Word of God, if you ask for wisdom and understanding and do not doubt, the Lord will answer you. It is written and it was spoken of by Jesus in Matthew and Luke.

Matt 10:28
28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Luke 12:4-5
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

Let us continue with the rest of chapter 20 of Revelation, because it will tell us everything we need to know.

Revelation 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
After the thousand years of teaching Satan is going to be let out of the pit. Why you ask, because he has one more job to do. Remember the Father is fair, he treats all his children the same. The children that were in the flesh had to make a choice between Satan and the Lord, before Jesus returned. The ones that were taught through the thousand years, will also be tested, that is the reason Satan will be let out again, as it is written.

Rev 20:8-15
8 And shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Satan will be let lose and then he will go thoughout the earth to get people to follow him and go against Jesus. You know what the hardest thing to fathom is, that it will be many many people that will follow Satan against Jesus.

Revelation 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Satan will get the people to follow him against Jesus, but it will not do him any good, because The Father will do the fighting against him.

Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Then Satan will be thrown into the Lake of fire.

Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

Then the white thrown judgment, which is the final judgment, this is not done by Jesus, this is done by The Father. The Father will be the one throwing people into the lake of fire.


12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

What will people be judged by at the white thrown judgment, it will be their works, not their faith.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

Everyone that ever lived will be judged. Anyone that is spiritually dead or anyone that is in "hell", which is prison in heaven will be judged.

14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

The second death is the destruction of all evil.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

Anyone not written in the book of life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

As you can see there is a purpose for everything. Thank the Father that he provides us with all the answers we need.
