Subj: Revelation Ch 2:1& 2

Now we are going to go into each one of the different groups and find out what they
are doing that is right and what they are doing that is wrong. Which group do you
personally line up with? This is not talking about denominations.

Jesus wants john to tell the seven groups, what they need to become overcomers.

The first church
REVELATION 2:1
UNTO THE ANGEL OF THE CHURCH OF EPHESUS WRITE:

Ephesus means desirable. They want to be good christians. This is what they know
and what they are doing right.

THESE THINGS SAITH HE THAT HOLDETH THE SEVEN STARS IN HIS RIGHT
HAND, WHO WALKETH IN THE MIDST OF THE SEVEN GOLDEN
CANDLESTICKS;


This means Jesus controls the seven angels by his power. Jesus walks in the middle of
his seven different groups. Jesus is with us spiritually. Jesus is also with us physically,
through the Word of God. Jesus is the living Word of God.

REVELATION 2:2
I KNOW THY WORKS,

Jesus is saying I know what you are doing,

AND THY LABOR,

I know the weariness of you, because of what you are doing,

AND THY PATIENCE,

And I know the cheerful endurance of you.

AND HOW THOU CANST NOT BEAR THEM WHICH ARE EVIL:

and I know you don't put up with evil people:

AND THOU HAST TRIED THEM THAT SAY THEY ARE APOSTLES, AND ARE
NOT, AND HAST FOUND THEM LIARS:

And I know you test people who pretend to be sent from me, but I did not send them,
and you found out they were liars.

Jesus is saying preachers, priest or anyone can say they are christians and sent by God.
You must test their fruits (what they do or say). If they say one thing and do another they
are not christians and not sent from God.
