Now we are going to be shown a glimpse into the eternity.

Rev 22:1-21
1 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

John saw that in eternity, there would be a river of spiritual water, and this water of life came from the throne of God.

2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Within the street on either side of the river, will be the tree of life. Now this tree of life will produce a total of twelve different fruits, now each month it will produce a different fruit.

This is different from what we have today, we have four seasons and we only have fruit during one season of the year. This tells us there will not be any winter or fall, nothing dead or dying. Everything alive and growing always. This of course is speaking spiritually, but the example is from the flesh, so we can understand it with our flesh minds.

Now the next part of the tree is the leaves, and the leaves are for the dispelling of boredom of the nations. This is also written in
Ezek 47:12
12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Revelation 22:3
And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

We will not have to worry about curses anymore, and we will be with the Lord and the Lamb as his servants. The curse is spoken of in Deut 11:27&28.

Revelation 22:4
And they shall see his face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.

The servants will be face to face with the Lord, they will be married to him,so they are one.

Revelation 22:5
And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever.

There will be no more darkness, there will be no need to enlighten anyone, because the Lord God will be one with them and they will be enlightened through him, they will rule with him forever.

Think about it, won't that be great, that is just a little look into eternity. There will always be light, they will always be something for us to do, there will be no death, the Lord will let us know anything we want to know, and he will answer us directly, not through someone else, so we have to digest what is said and then decide if it is the truth or not. No more wondering or worrying, as we do in the flesh.

Revelation 22:6
And he said unto me, These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done.

Then the angel that was talking to John, told him that everything he had heard, was going to happen as the Lord had showed him.

The next thing the angel told John was that The Lord God, had sent his own angel to let his servants know what was going to happen and would happen shortly.

First of all this is written to the Lord's servants, not just to John, so if you are a servant of the Lord, this was sent to you also, so you would know what to expect.

The next thing you have to realize,is that "shortly" to the Lord and "shortly" to humans is totally different. One day to the Lord is a thousand years to us. So if we told someone this is going to happen soon or shortly, we would be talking about days, so soon or shortly to the Lord is also days, but it is his days, not ours. So soon or shortly would mean a few thousand years, which is where we are now.

Revelation 22:7
Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Now the Lord tells us the he is going to be coming back soon, so watch for him, also that the only way you will be blessed when he returns, is if you follow what this book has told you to do.

Now we are almost through with the book of Revelation, and the Lord has been so good to us. He has told us everything that we need to know, everything that we can expect, everything that we are to do, and everything that he expects from us as his servants.

So the bottom line is simple, if you do as he has instructed in this book then you will be blessed when he returns. If you do not follow what he has told you to do and he finds you as a servant that did not expect him and was doing things their own way, then he will tell you to get away from him, when he comes back. You will have no excuse at all.

Let us take a look at where he told us this in his Word, as it is written in;

Rev 1:3
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

This was the message at the beginning of the book of Revelation; the Lord told us we have three things to do. We must read this book, then listen with understanding, and then do what it tells you to do.

James 1:22
22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

The Lord tells us that we can not say we know what the Word says, and then go about our daily life the way we want to. You will think you are a good servant, but when Jesus returns, he will tell you to get away from him. In order for him to accept you, you must do what he has instructed you in the Word. You can not say, my preacher never told me that.

Matt 24:45-51
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Jesus puts it pretty plain here. If you are a good servant, you will be doing what you are suppose to when he returns, and then he will make you a ruler in his kingdom.

But if you just say your his servant or just say your a Christian, and he finds you Doing whatever your flesh wants you to do and hurting other Christians, and listening to false truth and a false spirit(Satan and his angels.) Then Jesus will return and you will not expect it, and he will not put you with the sheep, but with the goats, and you will be ashamed. You will say to him, but I did all these religious things in your name. He will say get away from me I never knew you.
In His service
