Revelation 22:16
I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

Now John is told that the Lord sent his angel to explain everything to all the different Christians.

Jesus's flesh was from David.

Isa 11:1-2
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
(Jesse was the father of David)

Zech 6:12
12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
(Jesus built the temple of the Lord, which is the Christians)

Rom 1:3-4
3 Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;
4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:
(Jesus in the flesh was from David, but in spirit he was the son of God.)

Rev 5:5
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
(This tells us that Jesus came from the tribe of Judah and that he opened the book that had been sealed.)

Jesus is also the bright and morning star. Did you know there was another morning star?

Job 38:7
7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?
(This is talking about before the fall of Satan. Satan is also know as the morning star or son of the morning. This tells us that there was a time in the past when everyone sang together and there was no evil.)

Isa 14:12
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
(Lucifer means morning star and that was Satan's name before he fell in the world that was.)

Revelation 22:17
And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

The Spirit says your invited and the bride says your invited. If you hear the invitation and you want to know the truth, and you take the invitation you will receive the living water.

Revelation 22:18
For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

The other thing we are told is that if anyone hears with understanding the words of the prophecy of this book and shall add to what is written in the book, God shall add to him the plagues that are in this book.

Now that is very important to understand and what it comes down to this. If someone is teaching the book of Revelation to others, it could be a preacher, a pastor, a fellow Christian, a priest or any other title. And that person understands Revelation, and they add to it, something that is not written, then they person will have to go through all the plagues that are written in this book.

This does not say that that person will go into the lake of fire. The reason is because if someone adds to this book, it is because they do not truly have eyes to see spiritually. And anyone that does not have eyes to see will worship Satan and may teach others to.

One of the biggest added things I have heard from the Christian community about this book is in chapter 1.

Rev 1:9-10 I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.
10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,

They say that it is at this point that the Holy Spirit comes down to earth and "raptures" all the Christians to be with the Lord. That is not written in these verses and it has been added by the "traditions of men."

The Christians are not going anywhere, they are going to be here during the whole tribulation and Satan's whole time on earth.

So as we have learned, if a person is not prepared for Satan and what we are to do when he is here, then they will worship him, so the plagues will apply to them.

Just a reminder to everyone the plagues are spiritual not flesh. There will be no torture on earth, there will be a big "Christian revival" and Satan will play the part of Jesus.

Revelation 22:19
And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Now the second part of this warning is much more serious. If anyone shall take away from what is written in this book, he will not be in the book of life, he will not be in the Holy City, and God shall take away his part from the things written in this book.

The first verse of the book tells us this book was written for the Christians so they would know what to expect.

So if someone tells you that as a Christian we do not need to understand this book or that this book was written to the Christian in 70 ad, and it was coded or that it applied to them and the fall of Jerusalem. Then that person has not only taken a verse from the book, they have taken the whole book away!!

Rev 1:1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

Revelation 22:20
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

He that tells you these things says; surely I come quickly. Amen and even so come Lord Jesus.

Jesus wants us to know that we are to be doing what we are suppose to do at all times, so when he comes you will be prepared for him.

Matt 24:44-51 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
48 But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51 And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

There will be people who will be upset and ashamed when Jesus does return, because they have followed Satan and will know it at that time.

Luke 12:37-38 Blessed are those servants, whom the lord when he cometh shall find watching: verily I say unto you, that he shall gird himself, and make them to sit down to meat, and will come forth and serve them.
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, or come in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

The servant that is doing what they have been instructed to do in the book of Revelation and in the whole bible will sit with Jesus at his return. It does not matter when he returns, just keep doing what we have been taught and you will never be caught off gaurd.

Revelation 22:22
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

The garce of our Lord Jesus Christ be with all of you. Amen

The book of Revelation is finished, it took us two and half years and we have learned many things about the Word not just about the book of Revelation. The Holy Scripture has to be used together, you can not just look at one book or one part. We need the whole thing to understand what we are to know, as it is written;

Eph 2:20-22
20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone;
21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord:
22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

We need the whole bible old and new and Jesus is the corner stone that holds it all together.

When it says the prophets, it means old testament, when it says the apostles it means the new testament and Jesus holds it all together, because he dies for our sins and it is because of him that we can understand spiritually.

2 Pet 1:20-21
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

We are told in Peter that we can not just take one verse and read it, it must have a second witness or it is not what the Father means.

The other thing that we are told here is that man did not write the old testament, it was the Holy Spirit and he used man to do it.

I leave you with a thought that we should all keep close to us as servants and Christians of the Lord. That is that we look forward to the end of the flesh and the Kingdom of God starting.

2 Pet 3:12-14
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.

Next week I will do a recap of the book.
