Rev 5:4
And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

John was upset because he knew this information was important, but he thought no one would be able to open it, never mind read and understand it.

This is interesting to me, because John knows about Jesus yet he gets upset because he thinks no one is worthy to open the book.

This is a test of faith and hope and to let us know that this book was closed for a purpose and when the time was right it would be open. One would have to ask themself what kind of God do we serve if he makes a book that no one can read.

This verse shows us something very important, remember John who had walked with Jesus in the flesh and now was up in heaven in spirit could not understand and he had doubts. He became so upset over something that he should not have, that he cried.

The reason he did this was because the Father had not opened his spiritual eyes. Even in the spiritual body you may not understand things the Father doesn't want you to. Jesus was standing right in front of him.

Rev5:5
And one of the elders smith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

John is at the throne and there are twenty-four elders sitting there, and one of them see he is upset and says to him look Jesus is standing right here and he is able to open the book and unlock the seven seals that are on the book.

We must remember that as we are teaching others and spreading the good news that some may not be able to understand even with the words right in front of them, we are not to force anyone to believe or understand anything.

We are simply the sowers, the Father is the one that puts life in the seed that we have planted. As in gardening not all the seeds we plant sprout, only the strong ones. Some are not able to handle the pressure of true Christian life while living in the flesh.
