We are going to start a new chapter today. I wanted to give a brief overview of chapter seven first.

First of all let us remember what the number seven means in scripture. Seven means completeness - spiritual - perfection. So chapter seven shows us an outline of the complete picture.

First thing to understand is that John is being shown something different. This is not a continuation of the sixth seal. It is the Father showing what will happen during that time, but from a different point of view.

The outline is of the heaven and the earth, and who is where and does what.

There are four angels- these are bad angels, they have a job to do.

There is another angel mentioned and he has a job to do regarding the four bad angels, because he is a good angel.

Then we have those on earth mentioned 12 tribes and then 12000 of each. Twelve as we know means "government." These are the servants of God on earth they have a job to do for him while they are in the flesh.

Then we have more people in heaven that are from all the nations of the earth. They have been purified and made white through the Lamb, they are singing and celebrating because they have over come.

Then we have the throne and the lamb mentioned.

Then God who sits on the throne is praised for what he has done, along with the lamb.

Then we also have all the angels that stand around the throne, the elders and the four beast.

Then we are told about seven spirits of God.

Then an elder talks to John this time, not the angel that had brought him. The elder ask a question and then answers it.

Read over chapter seven and see if you can see the outline laid out by the Father.
