Revelation 9:1
	"And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth:"
 
      The fifth trumpet will be when Satan (Antichrist=  the fake
Jesus), will appear on Earth. The word "earth" in the greek is used for the actually place
or globe, not just the system of the earth. 
      Everything  you have studied so far, is how the earth will prepare for the arrival of
"antichrist".

    Jesus tells us about Satan falling from heaven in Luke 10:18  "And he said unto them, I
beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven."

     This is also mentioned in The old Testament;

Isa 14:12 	How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (morning star), son of the
morning(dawn)! how art thou cut down to the ground(earth), which didst weaken the
nations!

 
Revelation 9:1
"and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit."

    Satan will be given the ability to open the pit. (This is a state
of being,  and an actual place.)
         
     I want to show you a little more about the bottomless pit. It is written about in
Revelation 20:1	"And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the
bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.  (as you will notice, this angel has the "key",
he is not given the key like Satan was.)
2	And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and
bound him a thousand years, (Satan will be taken care of by this angel, after he has done
his work on earth as "the antichrist".)
3	And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that
he should deceive the nations no more, (as you can see Satan will be thrown into the
bottomless pit and he will not be able to influence anyone on earth.)

    Another place this bottomless pit is mentioned, tells about Satan and  that he is the
beast of the book of Revelation and how many roles he will have played by the end.  It is
in  Rev 17:8 	"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the
bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose
names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they
behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is."  ( I don't want anyone to get confused. 
Let me explain this verse to you. Satan will come to earth as "the antichrist" and then he
will be thrown into the bottomless pit by the angel, then he will come out of the
bottomless pit after the millenium and get many people to follow him and attack Jesus and
his people. Then he will "go into perdition", which means he will be thrown in the lake of
fire.)



     Who is in the "bottomless pit" and why are they there?  The Father answers all our
questions in his Word.
Jude 1:6	And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own
habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the
great day. (These angels are being held because they left heaven and came to earth.  They
were not suppose to come down to earth.)
Gen 6:1	And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth,
and daughters were born unto them,
2	That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took
them wives of all which they chose. (The sons of God are angels and they were marrying
flesh women.)

Gen 6:4	There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the
sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same
became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. (The angels came to earth and
married the women and had children with them.)

Gen 6:5	And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. (The Father saw
that flesh man had been corrupted by the angels, and all they were doing or thinking was
evil and bad.)

       Jesus also mentions this in Matthew;

Matt 24:37	But as the days of Noe (Noah) were, so shall also the coming of the Son of
man be.
38	For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,( If you read
Genesis 6, you will see that the people getting married were angels and flesh females.  Not
only that, but they were having children. The words "giving in marriage" means to be with
child. God does not mind flesh males and flesh females getting married or having children,( 
so he wouldn't have been angry with that.  He was angry because the angels came down
and corrupted the people of the earth.  So God destroyed all the humans that had been
corrupted by the angels. He put the angels in a "state of being" that they could not bother
the people on earth.  That is what Jude was talking about.) 

Luke 17:26	And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son
of man.
27	They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the
day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.   (This is a
second witness)

   Now that we know who was in the "bottomless pit" and why they were put there.  Next
week we will study what they will do, when Satan lets them free on earth again.
