Subj: Revelation 9:2&3

We will now study what will happen on earth when Satan's angels are allowed to be
here with him. Remember the book of Revelation has to be spiritually interpeted.
Revelation 9:2
2 And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the
smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of
the pit.
So Satan opened the place where these angels were kept.
When he did that There was a wall of blackness that comes with them. The truth is
covered and the great deception takes place. There was no light and the life was put in
darkness, because of the cloud of darkness that came out of the pit.
This is saying that when these evil angels are let loose on earth, they will darken alot
of the light of Jesus. Jesus is the light of the world, these angels will corrupt the truth
about Jesus and people will be in spiritual darkness.
The word "darkened" is only used a few times in the Word. It means to blind someones
understanding, not the light in their eyes. You can understand this better if you read what
Paul wrote in;
Eph 4:18 "Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God
through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:"
Paul is talking about what they know and understand. That is the same thing that is
being talked about in Revelation 9.
Revelation 9:3
3 And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth:
There will be a "spiritual cloud" and a "spiritual plauge" upon
the earth. Satan's army will come on earth as an "army" or a "swarm" of locust.
Think about a plague of locust for a minute. When they attack an area they all come
together, and they can block the sunlight, and when you see them coming, they look like a
dark cloud, then they attack and destroy everything by devouring it. If your not prepared
for them everything that is exposed will be destroyed and consumed.
That is what Satan's army will do to the people of the earth, if your not prepared.
Revelation 9:3
" and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power."
This is telling us how they will destroy the people of the
earth. They will destroy the people like scorpions do. The Father uses things in the flesh
so that we can understand what he is teaching us.
Scorpions first of all paralyze their prey. Then they give them poison that will destroy
everything inside their body, leaving only the skin in tact to hold all the organs and parts
that have been destroyed. Then they consume their prey.
That is what Satan's army will have the power to do. People will be "paralyzed" and
amazed at what they see. Then because of all the "great miracles" and "wonders" the
people will believe what they are told. So because of that anything they knew about the
truth or about God will be destroyed. They will now accept anything these angels tell
them. They will be spiritually killed and people will join the angels, so the angels will have
consumed them into their system, which is to worship their leader. Their leader is Satan.
See how great our Father is! He tells us things so that we can understand and be
prepared for what will happen.
Let me give you some scripture that tells us these things, don't just listen to me or any
other teacher, check it out in the Word for yourselves.

Matt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great
signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
(These angels will be doing such unbelievable things, that even God's servants would be
deceived by them, if that were possible.)
And another witness to that is in Mark & 2 Thessalonians.
Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and
wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.
In 2 Thessalonians it explains a little more about why people will follow Satan and his
angels.
II Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and
signs and lying wonders, (They will be able to do many great things)
10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish" ( The people
of the earth will be tricked into doing things that are not right);
"because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."
(Why will they be tricked by the angels? Because they didn't want to know what the Word
of God said, so they would be protected from the lies that these false angels will be
telling.)
You know what some people will be saying to themselves right now. I won't be
tricked by Satan or his angels. I Love God and he will protect me even if I don't study his
Word. All I have to do is believe and I am saved, I am a "christian".
Well the Father knows what people are going to think and so he tells them right out what
will happen to them in the next verses.
II Th 2:11 "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should
believe a lie:" ( See what this says, God will make people believe Satan and his angels.)
Not all people, only people who didn't want to study the Word and learn the truth and
be prepared, all they wanted to do is go around saying, "I believe" so I'm saved and I don't
have to worry about this stuff. "I am going to be gone."
Well the Word doesn't say we are going anywhere, before Satan and his angels get here.
In fact Paul tells us in 2 Thess, not to be deceived about when Jesus is returning and
gathering his church to him. He goes onto tell them, don't forget what you know and have
learned, even if an angels or someone tells you something or even if you read a letter from
us that you think says something different. The day that we will be gathered together with
him will NOT, (NOT) happen UNTIL, first the "falling away" from the truth happens.
(People who knew about God and were supposedly "christians" or "saved" will turn away
from God.)
The second thing that will happen before Jesus returns is "Antichrist" or "Satan" what
ever you want to call him, will be on earth, as it is written in;
II Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ,
and by our gathering together unto him,
2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word,
nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there
come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
So people will follow Satan or antichrist, because God will make them think they are
doing what he wants. They will think they are being very "religious". Remember when
Satan gets here, he will be "fixing the flesh world". So these people will think they are
doing what God wants. Remember God is not interested in fixing the "flesh world",
because as soon as Jesus returns the flesh world will be gone, we will not be in the flesh
any more. That is Satan's trick and deception. To get "christians" away from what God
really wants, and get them tied up with flesh things.
Paul goes on to tell us what will happen to these people, when Jesus returns.
2 Thess 2:12 "That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had
pleasure in unrighteousness.
( These people will be seperated from Jesus. Some of these are people who thought
they were"christians", as it is written in;
Matt 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom
of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
(Only people who do what God wants them to do, not what they think God wants them
to do. See the difference.)
When Jesus returns to gather his church, people will think they are apart of his church,
but they are not.
Matt 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy
name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful
works? (These people will say, we did all kinds of things for you. We said we were
christians and we taught people about you, we did things in your name.These people are
people who thought they were "christians", but they were not, it was only what they
called themselves. If you call yourself a christian and don't do what God wants you to do
(by their fruits, you will know them), then you are not really a christian and you are not
"saved". Be very careful and think about what you do for God. Is what you do for God,
just things concerning the flesh? If so then you are not doing the will of God. The will of
God concerns only the spirit and soul of a person.)
Jesus will tell these "christians" get away from me, I never knew you. Think about it.
These are people who were born and raised in some religion and just follow the religion
because that is what they have been taught to do. There are alot of people who call
themselves "christians" and all they are doing is following a "religion" and not following
the Word. They didn't make a choice to be a christian, they just think they are a christian,
because they follow the "church traditions or rules". That does not make you a christian,
and that is why Jesus will say he never knew them. Because he never did know them as
apart of his "church".
Matt 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity. (Jesus never knew them, because they were not following the law of
God, which is his Word.)
Matt 25:31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with
him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from
another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
This is what will happen when Jesus returns, he will gather all his "church" to him and
everyone else will be put away from him.
This is the reason God will allow these angels to do what they are going to do on
earth. It is to test the people and see if they love God with all their heart and soul. Which
if you did, then you would trust him and do what he wants you to do. And the only way
to know what he wants is to read and study his Word, as it is written;
Deut 13:1 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth
thee a sign or a wonder,
2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let
us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams:
for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with
all your heart and with all your soul.
