In the old day ,before Loungpoa Viriyoung built up the dhammaongkol
temple, the land here was a swampy forest and full of poison snakes just suburb of
Bangkok,the capital city. He often used to stay here over night during an arduous
trip to city. Until 1963 with a land donation by a generous couple, Mr.Tao & Mrs.
Boonma. the temple construction was begun to take shape and today it has 32 rai of land
(12.8 acres) with accomodating over 300 monks in residence |
| The highest pagoda in Thailand named "Pra-viriya-mongkol-maha-jedee" contains 5 Buddha relics and strands of Buddha's hair received from the Supreme Patriach of Bangladesh .The pagoda has a rectagular Bodhgaya shape as the one in India. It is 94.78 meter high built into 14 floors which are using for museum , library, computer center, and classes for Rajapat College. The ground floor used for Meditation Teacher Trainning School which has a spacious class room able to hold up to 500 students at one session of both sitting and walking meditation. Include also a modern cafeteria, a conference room, and an airconditioning meditation cavern. All are versatiled and beautifully designed. |

Vry. Meditation Center located just behind the temple to serve as a meditation retreat center. Fully furnished 80 hotel rooms alike for comfortable accommodations servicing up to 180 visitors. Rooms are available from single , double , and family suite. All rooms are airconditioning. providing complete bedding nescessities such as bed, bed sheet, pillow and closeset. | Meditation Caverns The first cave is situated in the meditation garden and the second is located on the ground floor of the pagoda. Both caverns imitate the atmosphere of a real woodland cave which in the old days, monks consider it as a seclusive place suitable for long meditation without disturbance. These two caverns are open for all meditators during the day hour to use as an escape for silence meditation. Each cave is large enough to hold up to 200 meditators with comfortable cool air-conditioning. The one in the garden is beautifully surrounded with flower gardens, nice lawn , small hill, fountains, a pond. and many trees. |  |

Meditation Teacher Trainning Course is open for public interest by VRY Power Institute. The curriculum includes foundamental concept of meditation leading to high level of meditation practice which Loaungpoa Viriyang collects from his 60 years experience in practicing samadhi with his holy enlightened masters.
