CLEBRATION OF LIFE
2002
We will be cruisin again. .
On Celebrity Cruises
Millennium
from Ft Lauderdale, Florida.
September 23 to October 4, 2002
The Millennium redefines the term lavish. From the moment you descend the onyx staircase in the Grand Foyer, this luxurious cruise liner will astound you.
Ports of Call:- Cozumel; Puerto Limon, Costa Rica; Aruba; Colon, Panama; Cartagena, Columbia; Grand Cayman; Limon, Costa Rica; & Key West, Florida.
Aruba:All wrapped up in the Caribbean Sea, the island of Aruba offers plenty of water adventure. Try your hand at parasailing or jet skiing. Scuba divers are in for a treat with the area's sunken ships. But if you're a landlubber, however, check out the Natural Bridge. Located inside Fort Zoutman, it's a celebration of local food and dance. This is your chance to learn the Tumba.
Cartagena,Columbia:
Cartagena's romantic past of Spanish Conquistadors attempting to protect their galleons of gold from the sieges of buccaneers remains alive today. And you can relive it on a tour of this perfectly preserved 16th-century South American city. Your imagination will run wild when you visit the batteries and tunnels of the massive military fortress and the walled city that is Old Cartagena.
Colon, Panama:
Cruise thru the wonder that is the the Panama Canal and visit Colon, Panama. There will be many tours available, so take your pick and discover the Man Made Marvel of the Panama Canal.
Puerto Limon, Costa Rica:
The rain forest meets the jungle in this very tropical area of Costa Rica. Watch exotic birds bounce on the branches of palm trees or take a dip in the bathwater-temperature ocean.
Grand Cayman
Grand Cayman is replete with ecological sights. Come face-to-face with a stingray on a snorkeling excursion or view marine life a little less closely from a glass-bottom boat. Visit the Cayman Turtle Farm -- a breeding area for the endangered green sea turtle.
Key West, Fl.
Ernest Hemingway called this two-by-five mile island "a fine country," and it was here in the 1930's that he wrote two of his greatest masterpieces. This conch republic has changed little since his day. Gingerbread-style houses still line Duval Street and six-toed cats still wander around Hemingway's property. Have a drink in one of the Key's watering holes or board the Conch Tour Train for a tour of the city.
