August 1999 -  The Watson Edwards group had the first Annual celebration of Life event. Forty (40) group members and friends celebrated aboard the Carnival "Paradise" to the caribbean. First stop was Cozumel. mexico then Cayman Islands and our homeland Jamaica. The Paradise is the first non-smoking ship in the worls and the crew was our hosts for 7 days & nights.

Honeymooners Mr & Mrs. W. Edwards - Bride Aieshah is the grandaughter of "Aunt Bea (Edwards Cover) started their own celebration aboard. They enjoyed the wonderful beach in Cayman Islands here.   Yes, Aieshah married an american Edwards from California, not related. Of course no group outing woud be complete without the not -ready-for-prime time humor of "Gee".  When Gee is around there is never a dull moment and let me tell you the girl can shop! And shop we did...in Mexico, Cayman & Jamaica.  Some of us bought tings we will be giving for many christmases to come.  A typical day on this cruise consisted of as many breakfasts one could hold; ealry brunch; late lunch; sit down dressed-up dinner; snack; midnight brunch and Mike and I never missed the late nite crepes. Not to mention pizza 24hours and the food we ate ashore. Thank God no one got sick.
 

 
 

Aunt Miss/Una Edwards grandson Raymond who was born in England got married on the island of St. Lucia summer 1999. See their pic in the wedding photo section.  Other weddings planned are:
 

• Trinia - grandaughter of Kathy Wlaton nee Edwards and daughter of Dorothy planned for Feb. 2000.
• Rasheida - grandaughter of Kathy Walton nee Edwardss and daughter of gertude (gee) planned for the summer 2000.

We regret to announce the death of Oscar Edwards (First born son of Eva Watson-Edwards).  He lived a full and blessed life and we cannot imagine another summer or domino game without him. He is mourned by his loving wife Mary, son Tim, sisters, brothers and lots of family & friends.  He has gone to be with "Pops" Lance, Pauline, & Junior and all those who left us and gone ahead.
 

Feburary 2001 -  We have lost another family memberr.  Florence Smith (Edwards) "Aunt Flo" has gone to sit with the angels.  She left behind a legacy of many friends and loved ones that are continuing to mourne her departure. We thank God we had a chance to spend some quality time with her.  She brought so much Love & Joy to all those who knew her.
 

 

Sept 2001 -  Thirty one (31) of us celebrated Life on a cruise from San Juan Puerto Rico to St. Thomas, St Lucia, Curacao & Aruba. To say we had a BLAST is an understatement. We were very welcomed at all the islands we visited.
 

August 2002 - Edna Toyloy (Chen/Watson) celebraated her Birthday with a fab bash given by her children in Ft lauderdale. We did not make the cruise this year because everyone missed the deadline for the deposits, so it was cancelled.

Theron & Rashieda Urbano moved to Germany compliments of Uncle Sam and now they have a german born daughter named Tanea. Of course Gee just needed a new spot to visit, so she got on the first ironbird out of New York to go spoil her new grandbaby.

Hartel (Vadney) Lee nee Edwards and her sons have planned a Jamaica vacation this July; and about 11 of us will be on a 7 day in Mobay. In 2002 we moved around.... Claudine Taylor - (Authiel (Vee's) daughter have relocated with her Son Dion to Atlanta, Ga. Winston Cover moved to Ft Lauderdale,  Angella moved to Tampa and I hear tell that Vee may be moving to Ft Lauderdale finally.  When you get bitten by the Florida bug there is no repellant...so visit Florida with Caution!!

Dorothy's daughter Trina and her husband Kirk are expecting their first child.

 

March 2004 -  The 2004 Celebration of Life cruise will be held in August this year.  We will be sailing on the Golden Princess for 7 days (8/29-9/5/04)  There is still some cabins left for those who would like to go. Sen an email or call with your inquiry.

Theron Urbano has been deployed to Iraq leavin Rashieda & the kiddies behind in Germany.  We pray that God will watch over him and that he will return safe to his family very soon.

Lots of relocations took place in 2005 & 2006 and we did not cruise.  In 2006 Pearl & Syvan Simms moved to Lauderhill from New York.  Yes...Pearl nee Edwards has finally come to Florida for good.  Authiel (Vee) moved into her new home in Plantation, Florida.  We are still waiting on a few more New Yorkers to get bitten by the Florida bug!  Gee you had better get your repellant.....you are next!
 

 

Feb 2007 -  Camellia & Ivan Martin celebrated their union in a big bash at the Mariott Coral Springs Golf & Country Club.  150 family and friends partied the night away in Caribbean fashion.  Some pics are located here.

The Celebration of Life cruise for 2007 will be in November this year. We will be sailing on the Norwegian Pearl for 9 days.  We are months away but there is still time to book. Details are on on the  Celebration 2007 page.

Nicole Smith (Aunt Flo's grandaughter) has planned her wedding to Raymond Junior April 14, 2007 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  We wish them a "never ending married life" and much Happiness!
