To the Greeks - Zeus was your name,
Being the God of Gods, was your fame,
Jupiter to Romans - ruler of the sky,
As splendor of the universe, you electrify.
Was it, that man wanted to be
ruled?
By powerful Gods or was he being fooled?
Glory and power with honour combined,
A wish in the heart of man - for you designed.
Defeating Kronos made you supreme
Lord,
On top of Olympus was your lux resort,
Affairs with goddesses and earthly creatures,
Attracted to beauty with heavenly features.
Deep in you, a pressure of a passionate
flame,
Turning Hydrogen into liquid metallic,
is your game,
You are the largest planet in your home,
With your satellites - around you roam.
In your polar region you show auroral
emissions,
With your great red spot and other complexions,
Dynamic weather systems in your scheme,
You may still be the thunder God
letting of steam.
