Uranus
Uranus the
earliest deity of infinite sky,
To ancient Greeks he was honored high,
Son and mate of Gaia the earth-mother,
She created him without a father.
With all
his powers he was disposed,
By his son Kronos, who was incited most -
To obtain the strongest and highest seat,
Not even Heaven had a ground to keep.
Thus
reflects the myth of the ancient land,
To explain events one couldn't understand,
And the desire to master wild surprises,
Which nature dishes up, beyond man's wises.
As
Sky-God
he couldn't keep his head,
So we research him as a planet instead,
He is barely visible to an unaided eye,
No worries!
Technology got a mechanical spy.
Through
space he dances like the others,
Similar like his giant gaseous brothers,
Blue like Neptune with his moons and things,
He is there to perform his planetary links.
