Faeries exist in another realm To know the fae you must be able to break down the barriers between  realms . Certain times of the year shorten the distances between the two existences.. Beltane is a wonderful time for faery magick,, because the wheel is making a turn of life and magick. This is a good time to visit any realm, but we will stick to the faeries here.
There are also certain living forms in are world that are beloved by the fae. Getting to know some of these entities will no doubt bring you closer to the little ones who so adore them.

Hawthorn is also concidered sacred to the fae. Both of these plants are often in bloom on Beltane. To utilize this connection you will need to establish a relationship with these plants. Or others, there are many plants that are beloved by the little people, and Beltane is not the ony time you can practice faery magick. It is however, a magickal time, when your success is likened by the seasons, as with any other magick.

One way to bring the faeries in to your life is to get to know the plants that they love. (Visit the garden for some ideas ). Once you have made some relationships with these plants, you can begin to use them. Choose a few roots and blooms and grind them to a fine powder. Add to this powder a bit of very fine glitter. I use the same glitter that I use in candles. It is the finest glitter that I have found. Now, make a little sachet, or charm bag and place the powders inside of it. Place a string upon this, and put it around your neck. You can also keep it in your pocket if you like. You can sprinkle this powder as an offering when you find a sacred place. Or blow it into the wind to enchant them. Be creative, be kind, and be patient. If you are without malice, and persist in your relationship, and your offerings, they will come. You will feel them.
Faery wish magick
  ~  items you will need ~
        a pinch of glitter
        an offering:

small gemstones,
cookies & honey all make good offerings.
Put down your offering
  Say out loud
" Faeries of the air, I call you now, accept this offering,
with love from me to you !"
Close your eyes.
Spend a moment open and receptive to your energies
and those around you.
When you feel you are no longer alone,
take out your glitter and hold it in your hand.
Focus on your wish.
When your wish has been visualized and projected.
  Toss the glitter into the air
   Cry Out
" Faeries of the air , carry away my wish ,
accross the never-ending skies,
up into the ethers, forever and more !!"

         Cross your toes
Close your eyes and smell a rose
   Then, say under your breath
" I believe in Faeries sure as death.
    Gladflykins ! Gladtripins !
      Gutterpuss and Cass ,
       Come to me fairily ,
       Each lad and lass !"
