Perhaps the most common lore that exists
today is that of the faery ring
It is believed that the faery ring
( a circular ring of mushrooms)
is a faery circle left magickally in the very
spot that the fae danced the night befor
This is a sacred spot to the faeries and
any tampering with, particularly
the damaging of, is highly offensive to the faeries.
Faeries are very vengeful little sprites and they
know how to get their payback ! Lost car keys and
broken bristles in your hairbrush are just a few
examples.
The faeries magick is very strong,
and because the mark is so fresh , often
the magick still lingers within the circle.
Therefore it is advisable not to step into the
circle , lest you be subject to this magick!
Perhaps your relationship with the little ones is a
good one and you want to be whisked away to
faery land, well then go ahead and step in but who
knows what could happen !
However, it IS advisable to leave an offering
near the circle, as the faeries will remember
this also, and likely reward you with good
fortune in the near future !
