Didn't know that cleaning the keyboard can be a therapeutic experience like mopping the floor. Thanks to my spoilt HP Pavilion monitor that had seen me through 5 years of net surfing and chatting in the net, I went to clean up the monitor and the wiring attached to it. Throughout the whole process at a full vertical view (no parallex error, that's for sure), I noticed that the keyboard was full of dust and dirt.
Inverting the keyboard brought down much dust and dirt accumulated in the years and that good shake-up is reminds me of a person in her quarter life crisis. A good shake shake-up is what the person stuck in a quarter life crisis needs.
Tried to use cotton buds to dig out the stubborn dust that is somehow reminiscent of Breadtalk's floss buns that had taken Singapore by storm. While digging out the "flossies" in unappealing shades of grey, I couldn't help but become hungry and long for the floss buns.
The stubborn floss just won't budge and the only thing I could think of is to get a paint brush to do the trick. Rummaged through the DIY drawer filled with screw drivers and pliers, I managed to dig out a mini paint brush with black bristles that look uncannily like my hair. Time to highlight my hair perhaps but I still stubbornly held on to the notion of being different from everybody who seem to hightlight or colour their heads in fervent colours of red and brown.
Had a hard time removing the "flossies" from the control key on the left side of the keyboard. Spent several minutes to finally floss out the "flossies". While cleaning up the control key, a thought came to my mind. If a person's stubborn idea won't go away, it will remain stuck like that flossie, too much control is no good, sometimes it would be good to let go. However, if a person were to have lesser control on his or her life, the control key is going to be stucked with dust and dirt. Decided to buy 1 to pamper myself tomorrow by hook or by crook, be it from Breadtalk, Four Leaves, Prima Deli, who cares? As long as there's floss to commemorate my monitor cleaning day, it's all right with me.
