Waterats' Climbing Site

Some recent NEW ROUTE activity..... I had the chance recently to be involved in some new routing activities, something very UNUSUAL for a Mad Jock Ex-Pat like myself, as in Scotland, new routes are hard to come by, unless you are a leading light in the climbing world...all the easy stuff has been done already ! So, I found that wee hidden 'craglet' of Creag na choille near Cole Harbour, so bunged up the obvious stuff there, then cleaned a route at The Skapper, and did a self-belayed top-rope ascent, of a 5.10a line "Flying Scotsman"...check it out. Then Sean Kelly kindly allowed me to do the FFA of his mega-project at Columbus, a 4 bolt semi-sport line which I have christened "Jocks Away !" and it goes at 5.10a as well. Anyway...glad to have the chance at this sort of thing...cheers NOVA SCOTIA !
