Gallery \ Watches \ "Series I" "Trump" The only Waterbury with this plate pattern, the “I” “Trump” came in two variations, of which this is the most common. It was the cheapest of all the Waterbury short-winds, selling for only $2.50. It was very popular, often sold to accompany the Waterbury 10,000 mile bicycle cyclometer of the same name. When sold with the cyclometer, the watch came with a special stand to clamp it to a bicycle frame. It has two jewels {only the end stones in the balance}, which are difficult to remove for cleaning since the balance bearings are not removable. Original Waterbury literature did not even recommend removing them unless broken. Note that the regulating arm on this example has been broken. |
