Water Conditioner:

Prime™ is the complete and concentrated conditioner for both fresh and salt water. It should be the first choice conditioner when setting up a new tank, adding, or changing water. Prime™ removes chlorine, chloramine and ammonia. Prime™ converts ammonia into a safe, non-toxic form that is readily removed by the tank’s biofilter. Prime™ may be used during tank cycling to alleviate ammonia/nitrite toxicity. Prime™ detoxifies nitrite and nitrate, allowing the biofilter to more efficiently remove them. Prime™ also promotes the production and regeneration of the natural slime coat. Unlike competing products, Prime™ is non-acidic and will not impact pH. Prime™ will not over-activate skimmers. It will also detoxify any heavy metals found in the tap water at typical concentration levels. Use at start-up and whenever adding or replacing water. A 100 mL bottle treats over 1,000 gallons, much more than competing products..Marine and freshwater.

Sizes: 50 mL, 100 mL, 250 mL, 2 L, 4 L, 20 L

DIRECTIONS: Use 1 mL (top mark of enclosed dispenser) for each 10 gallons (40 L) of new water. May be added to aquarium directly, but better if added to new water first. If adding directly to aquarium, base dose on aquarium volume. Sulfur odor is normal. For exceptionally high chloramine concentrations, a double dose may be used safely. To detoxify nitrite in an emergency, up to 5 times normal dose may be used. If temperature is > 86 °F (30 °C) and chlorine or ammonia levels are low, use a half dose. Caution! Aquarium Use Only! Keep Away from Children! Contains complexed hydrosulfite salts.

Medications:

Although we try not to use medications on our fish, especially as a preventative, sometimes we do have to raid the medicine chest. These are the medications we keep on hand.

Great in Jars as there is no need to raise temps.

Ick Guard (Liquid)

Clears Ick Fast

Also guards against secondary infections as a result of wounds left by the ick parasite. No need to raise the water temperature. Use Ick Guard II on small, weak or scaleless fish.

Details: Use half strength on Tetras or small fish, or use Ick Guard II. Remove activated carbon during use. After 24 hours, change 25% of the water and dosage may be repeated if needed. No need to remove snails.

Good for fungus or bacteria that just won't clear up

Clears Serious Fungus & Bacteria Fast

An effective anti-protozoan, antibacterial treatment that is highly effective against a wide variety of diseases including fungus, grey slime, dropsy open sores, bloody spots and streaks, fin and tail rot, cloudy eyes and swim bladder disease.

Details: Before using, change 25% of the water; remove activated carbon during use. Second dose may be added in four days after a 25% water change. Can be used full-strength even on catfish. Not recommended for use on crustaceans.

Aquari-Sol is proclaimed by fish hobbyists world-wide as the most effective preventative treatment against Ick.

Ick (Ichthyophtoirius Mulfifilis) are small ciliate protozoan cysts that look like sugar or salt granules. As these cysts mature, they fall off the fish and then divide into thousands of trophonts (like spores) that can populate your tank and attach all the other fish in your tank.

Aquari Sol can be used to cure outbreaks of Ick (though Quick Cure is recommended). Once cured, Aquari Sol is an excellent preventative treatment that won't harm fish or aquarium plants. Use Aquari Sol weekly and whenever new fish are added to your aquarium.
