Chapter 1 : by Honey
Chris awoke, not expecting the wooden boards of the ceiling quite so low. He figured they were only about six feet above the floor he was now lying on. The dark-haired man sighed as he pulled against the cuffs bonding his hands and feet to the ground. "Justin!" He stretched his neck as far as possible in search of the curly-haired youth. "Justin, I already told you not to play these games!" Chris laid his head down when the strain became too much and waited for the blue-eyed devil to come to his rescue.
Rustling sounded on the other side of the dim room, but Chris could not see what was happening. "Honey? Baby? You know I don't like to be restrained like this. We have been over it before." The continued, now followed with the scent of freshly baked bread. "Justy, let me go." Chris listened to the steady footsteps near the area where he lied. "Let me go and I'll do that thing you like." He closed his eyes as cold hands touched his chest. Suddenly, he realized those didn't feel like Justin's warm fingers. Chris opened his eyes, wide with fear, facing hollow green irises instead of the bright blue ones he had expected.
"And what exactly what were you planning on doing?" Lance chuckled to himself, setting down the bread and candle in his hand. The younger, dominant man stretched out one leg, letting the other fold underneath his knee. "You know, Chris, you should really make sure you know what's going on before you start coming on to me." As Chris' mouth jarred open, Lance placed a gentle finger over his lips, silencing the reply. "I can already guess what you would like to know." He stroked his chin, faking deep thought. "Does it have to do with the question of why you're here?" An exaggerated nod of approval was Chris' answer. "Well, I can tell you one thing-you won't be getting any tonight, or for the next week or so."
Chris finally felt the power to speak up. "What are you going to do to me?" Soft brown eyes looked up in a mixture of fear and curiosity.
"Oh, don't act so scared of me. I haven't even told you, yet. You have no reason to be frightened right now." Lance grinned and rubbed the shivering face below him, brushing his thumb over Chris' forehead. "Now, have you ever heard of something called 'peine forte et dure'?"
"No." Chris felt himself shaking in fear of so many of the possibilities of what this phrase could mean
"It means 'pressing to death'. Hasn't been practiced for so long. In fact, the only case reported in the US was during the witch trials, and if you ask me, it wasn't done properly. I don't know if you've heard of Giles Cory, but he more stoned to death then anything." Lance ran a carefree hand over Chris' bare chest, taking time to inspect the dark hair in its even patches. "I don't believe in stonings. It's terribly barbaric. No, what I'm going to do to you is truly 'peine forte et dure'." He smiled to himself as Chris' trembling become more noticeable underneath his fingers. "It even sounds sophisticated, doesn't it?"
Lance took a crust of bread in his hand and pressed it to Chris' lips. "Eat the bread." The lips, wet from worried licks, refused to open. "Eat it."
"Lance, please don't hurt me." Chris cried, trying not to open his mouth too much.
"Eat the fucking bread, Chris. Eat the fucking bread unless you want to be punished." Chris parted his lips, allowing the bread to pass into his mouth and swallowed it quickly, frowning at the harshness. "You can have water tomorrow." He nodded, closing his tear-filled eyes and let his head fall to the side.
"Now comes the first stone." Lance dragged a heavy flat stone across Chris' chest, covering it from gentle strokes and kisses he now longed for. "Don't worry. The future ones will not be so large. Just breath in and out deeply. The pain will not be great."
"Please, let me go." Chris groaned as the stone came in contact with his ribs.
"No. I have to leave. It's awful late and I have a meeting tomorrow. You should sleep, too." Lance left the room, bringing the small candle with him. Chris looked out into the darkness, wishing for Justin to come with the keys to these rusty cuffs.
I'm sure that you can tell by my title that I planned on making it take eight days to kill him, but that could always change...
