The Blue Acara is quite aggressive and should be
kept with cichlids of the same size. The males have long pointed
fins and the females have shorter rounded fins. The Blue acara
is fairly hardy and given the proper care will live for a long
time. They are relatively easy to breed. The blue acara is a
substrate breeder.
