As far as algae eaters go this is a very aggressive fish. The Chinese Algae eater cleans algae very well however as it grows larger and gets older it stops cleaning the algae and will attack other fish in the tank to eat the mucus off the fish’s skin. These algae eaters are also very aggressive towards other Chinese algae eaters.
