The Carpintis is an large cichlid with attractive
body patterns. This fish likes open water and requires territory
such as large rocks or driftwood for hiding place. This fish
also digs so plants are not recommended. Feeding is not a
problem as this fish will readily accept any food, from live to
dried foods such as pellets, sticks, beefheart and lot more.
This fish is territorial and sometimes can be very aggressive.
Carpintis are substrate breeder.
