This is a docile cichlid that will for a school
with others of it’s species. The Malawi dolphin lives in the
sandy areas of Lake Malawi so it should either have sand or fine
gravel as the substrate. Caves are also important to keep these
fish happy. These fish are difficult to breed however, for best
success put 1 male with 3 females and do frequent water changes.
Sexing the Malawi dolphin is difficult. The Malawi dolphin is a
mouth brooder.
