This fish is commonly regarded as one of the more aggressive fish. In order to keep the Jaguar cichlid with other fish it is suggested that you have a large tank to keep territorial aggression down. These cichlids are difficult to get breeding as they have a tendency to kill their mate however, once they start breeding it is fairly easy to keep them breeding. Males have longer pointed fins and are more colorful than the females. Jaguar cichlids are substrate breeders.
